The process of growing from a young child to an adult is largely guided by our understanding of the world around us and how we fit into it. I am a preschool teacher with two separate half-day preschool classes. Our classroom is located in a small town with high levels of low economic status, free/reduced lunches, and a Head Start Program. Preschool is often a child's first experience in a school setting, and can be an opportunity for individual needs to be realized. I have a responsibity to assist each one of my students with their individual growth and development. It is not a small undertaking.
