My third graders will greatly benefit from having various seating options in the classroom. We have a 100-minute block where they are expected to stay seated 80% of the time. Their constant need for movement can be met with these different seating tools. Not only will flexible seating encourage learning independence, but it will also allow students to take ownership of their learning style and decisions. This will also reduce the number of behavior problems and encourage students to be more engaged. These simple resources will give them a choice of having their own space to spread out and having room to work. The variety of seating will help meet the needs of all learners!
