I am asking for a horseshoe table for my classroom. I am currently teaching reading and math intervention. Much of our work is done with students spread out at different tables in the room. I would like to be able to sit each student at arm's length for instruction and practice. I think it will add to a more relaxed and inviting small group environment. I would also use the table during whole class time to pull small groups for differentiated instruction and practice. I think the ability to sit with a small group at a horseshoe table and interact with them on a more personal level would be great for student /teacher relationship.
