My 1st Grade students are in need of an inviting and comfortable place to gather as a classroom community; a large rug where we can come together to learn, interact, explore, and grow as individuals. In 1st Grade, we spend a good amount of our day on our rug. It is one of the main areas we utilize to foster healthy and positives relationships as a class. Every morning, we gather there to greet each other and share important pieces of ourselves during "Community Circle" time. We also meet at the rug to explore new topics and strategies that equip students to learn at their full potential. Rich, meaningful, important conversation and learning take place on our classroom rug. The problem is, our current rug is falling apart and needs to be replaced. This new, large rug will give every student a comfortable spot to call their own. Thank you for your consideration in donating! My students and I appreciate it VERY much!
