Because I am a rotation teacher, I never know what tools will be available for struggling students when I arrive at my location. My students have access to computers at the library or designated computer labs but in many of my scheduled areas, these tools are not available. These computers will allow my students with fine motor skills to type out assignments, organization and is an immediate way for them to access vocabulary words for in depth understanding as well as edit their writing assignments in a timely fashion. The technology provides greater opportunities for my students with disabilities to learn more effectively in a regular classroom setting alongside their non disabled peers. Will all my students able to participate regardless of their need, they will better be able to develop an in depth understanding of content and more effectively develop skills of communication and collaboration in the absence of standard obstacles. These skills will serve them beyond their classroom beyond the school walls.
