Math is a challenging subject for some. Incorporating grade level math concepts, into articles about exciting topics that will initially spark the students interest, will make the learning more fun! In addition, they can see real data and evaluate it to determine interesting math outcomes...fun facts! For an extra bonus, the magazine can increase vocabulary and love of reading! I can use the articles/activities in various ways throughout the year. Each can make a great Do Now to work independently or with a partner, an extension lesson to a related concept just taught or a project in that same manner!
