Having this Aquaponics set-up will allow students to understand many of our sections of science this year. We study the life cycle and needs of plants and animals, ecosystems, groundwater, and even the effects of weather on us and the world around us. I can talk about systems like this and they can see a picture, but it is nothing like seeing one in action. We can even change one piece and see what result it has on the plants and animals. I am so excited that they could create the factors of the experiments and then see what would happen right in front of them! By donating to this Aquaponics set-up, my students will have the opportunity to experience first-hand what is meant by sustainability at such an early, impressionable age. I can't wait for them to be able to have this hands-on experience!
