Literature has always provided inspiration to those seeking truth. I would like to offer my students, many of whom come from underprivileged households, a safe refuge, a haven of adventures they can come to when in my classroom. I want to encourage my students to become the heroes of their life stories. Exposing my students to challenging fiction and non-fictional classics, along with modern texts, will allow them to expand their knowledge base. Our classroom library will become their springboard that will catapult them to future success. The students will be able to analyze universal themes by making friends out of the characters in these books.
