IPADS will be used to help us learn how to code program, create games and apps while learning Computer Science. Students at PS 29 come from a broad socio-economic background and we have a diverse array of learners at our school. Our school currently is implementing the computer science for all initiative. I have been given the honor of taking up this task and based on my students I know that they will do amazing things in this field. However, they need technology in order to do this. Due to Covid-19, the state of the economy and the general the lack of economic resources that our students have to begin with has made this a challenge. A challenge that you can help! Providing funding in order to secure IPADs, or Chromebooks in order to ensure that each computer science students in front of me will have the ability to make, use and create code would go a long way in ensuring the success of the program and in ensuring the future academic success of these students. Their success will be your success because I know that they will take what they learned and bring it to the community and eventually to the workplace as well! We have a chance with your help to ensure that these students will not be left behind. They truly are exceptional and now it is time to support them with some exceptional tools!
