Since the devastating flood, my students need all of the normalcy they can get. This includes PE/recess time. The basketballs will be of great use. They will not only be used to teach dribbling and footwork skills, but also teamwork and good sportsmanship. Teamwork and good sportsmanship will also be taught by using the scooters in lots of team-building games. The students love using the scooters for relay games, tag games and even hockey! Basketballs and scooters are types of equipment that can be used outside on the concrete. This is especially important since I do not have a gym anymore for the kids to and play.
