Hello! My name is Christopher Austermann; I am a K-3rd special education resource (pull-out) teacher in Chicago Public Schools. Last year, I finished the year with 32 students on my caseload, at 32 different levels and 32 unique and wonderful personalities! This year, I begin the year with 20 students, with more being added IEP by IEP. In order to provide the most support, encouragement and the very best educations for all of my diverse learners, I must differentiate all activities and learning. Having many and, sometimes, multiple resources in my classroom is not only helpful to me, but most importantly, is beneficial to all of my students. By experiencing such learning in a safe, supportive and caring environment, each and every student will be allowed the opportunity to experience success!
