This year, I am focusing on helping my students to build stamina while reading. I am also trying to expose them to as much literature as possible. Students will be using the classroom set of Junie B. Jones and Her Big Fat Mouth as well as The Diary of a Wimpy Kid #4 to expand on their love for reading chapter books. This exposure to more literature will help them become better readers. This will also help to be prepared to read various texts on upcoming assessments. By being able to give them these books, my students will have a copy of a book that they chose that meets their interest level.
