3D printing is all the current rage and the 3D fever has certainly infected my students. They are designing and printing using my small clunky old laptop that cannot effectively handle the 3D software. A new, more powerful laptop is needed to handle their three dimensional designs. The laptop will allow my students to explore, visualize, and finally make their 3D designs become a reality. The design experience and product design experience will not only give them immediate results for their creative energy, it will allow them to explore and imagine how three dimensional printing will impact their future education, lives, and careers. Scotch tape is needed in the classroom for daily use and learning.
