What I want to teachers my students is to break barriers, to not fall into the norm. The first way to show them that, is letting them display their knowledge in more than one way. By using the interactive response paddles, they will be able to engage and show what they know without putting pencil to paper. My students are always wanting to move from one activity to the other, so with the use of the stability balls as a form of flexible seating, it will bring a sense of fun to learning. Some of my students have never gotten to experience this type of way of learning. They will benefit from this flexible seating and take more from the learning experience. The main goal for my project is to engage the students, and providing a fun and stable learning environment. I want them to have a desire to come to school, and for it to be exciting for them. I can already see the looks on their faces when they first come in and see their new options for flexible seating, and how excited they will be to use the response paddles. Our Third grade classroom would be so fortunate for our project to be funded so we can enjoy our stability balls, response paddles, and supplies.
