My Vision I teach a resource classroom that services students with specific learning disabilities in reading and mathematics. In order to access specific online tools crucial to my students' success, such as Read180 computer software and ALEKS, my classroom needs Chromebooks for the students to utilize for their specialized and personalized instruction. These programs help them target specific areas of need, and receive focused practice and instruction in areas of weakness. These tools help my team and me pinpoint areas where my students are struggling, and fined areas of growth so that we can reinsured progress. I know from previous experience with these resources how powerful, effective and meaningful they can be toward my students' education and development. The Problem There are not any computers stationed in my classroom on a full time basis. This leaves my students without these invaluable tools, and leaves my team struggling to reproduce the results we would be able to achieve fare more effectively and efficiently with the simple addition of four Chromebooks. These tools will help us track the students' progress by clearly depicting what they are learning, where they are struggling, and what teaching tools are the most effective for each student. Solution Through the generous donation of four Chromebooks, my students will receive a significant advantage in their math and reading development, and my team will have access to the data and analysis we need to tailor our education plans to each individual student's needs. With the simple addition of this resource to my classroom, I will be able to leverage the education tools that will give my students and my team the edge we need to achieve the education goals I know my students can achieve.
