My students are my favorite artists. They enter my classroom chanting a little rap tune that goes walking in the art room 1, 2, 3 all my friends are here with me. Let's learn about Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh with the best artist I know. (Thank you Cassie Stevens for sharing this) While in my room the students are emerged into not just the art curriculum, but their common core standards as well as music standards. My students bring an array of knowledge, skills and talents. I understand that "ART isn't everyones' jive", but I am adamant that everyone at least try. We love working together and enjoying our art time creating and learning about the people and world around us.
