My students need a place to store, organize, and display our themed books and storybooks! My school was recently affected by the historic 2016 flood in Louisiana. I lost all of my individualized therapy materials, books, furniture and storage. My students need a place to come together and make learning communication skills fun. Many of my students have delays and need lower level books and activities that they can understand. My students and I will use the books as a means to unlock the foundations of receptive and expressive language. The shelves will be used to organize our books by theme, holiday, reading level, and targeted articulation sounds. My students will use the bright, colorful rug to come join together each day to target language, articulation, and social objectives. Your generous donation to my project will improve my speech therapy classroom and increase my students' reading and language development!
