Privacy partitions will increase focus and decrease distraction when students are engaged in reading, tests and quizzes. It is very common for scholars to have increased anxiety when taking test, especially when they feel their neighbor is copying their answers. Valuable instructional time is lost when scholars are not focused on the task at hand. Privacy partitions will allow scholars to feel independency, goal-oriented, and accomplished when 100% of their energy is given to completing their work. The first and foremost priority is to provide all scholars an environment that offers the opportunity to block out surrounding disturbances continue to practice without distractions. My scholars have already expressed the need to work privately and independently. Providing such environment will increase confidence and test scores, as well as, enriching their experience and interest in independent reading.
