My students love learning about history and how the real world works. We use nonfiction books for a lot of units and hope to have more in the classroom. For example, we write informative essays, we read a myriad of nonfiction texts, we study biographies, and we supplement our social studies through reading leveled nonfiction texts. Students will use the books as mentor texts for writing. They will use them for research in reading. They will use the new biographies for our biography museum in the Winter. We can only make these learning experiences better with some help in our library. These students crave knowledge and we need your help to provide them with the tools to get it.
