I am creating an environment that will support students with Mental Health needs. This will be a physical space for rejuvenation, calming emotional needs, and provide a small group setting for group support away from the traditional class setting. This will space will positively support over 50% of my students with stressful life experiences. As a School Counselor this space will help me support academic success by giving tools, resources, and skills to students with at risk factors such as poverty, crisis experiences outside of school. I aim to provide support to the teaching staff by counseling and skill building a healthy mind and spirit.
