There are apps out there for students to have books read to them, to help with emotional and social difficulties, to help enhance learning with fun games and video clips, to reinforce math skills, and to give children an opportunity to make mistakes without human judgement. With the tablets that I am requesting, students will have access to an app that reads to them, which is so important in the early years and many of my students are not read to at home. I will also use apps that help children with difficulties in social situations and children who have a hard time dealing with emotions. Students who fall behind and struggle with learning letters and numbers will be able to use the tablet for extra practice, without other students noticing the struggle. Students will be able to practice in a fun way to keep their excitement for learning.
