Students with sensory regulation deficits often benefit from deep pressure input throughout the day. When students are not able to regulate their sensory system, they struggle to stay seated which affects not only their education but can also be very distracting to other students in the classroom. Students who are seeking deep pressure also struggle to focus on the task they should be completing so although they may appear to be seated, they are not taking in the information they need to learn. It is my goal to implement the deep pressure they are seeking in a way that they can continue to sit at their desk and learn.
