Teaching reading to first graders is a passion of mine. I have done a lot of research into brain development and how students learn to read. I would like to add more decodable readers to my classroom library to align choices of books to my instruction and the science of reading. Reading should be taught in a systematic way and the students in my classroom will be able to practice the reading skills I have taught them by using these decodable readers during their independent reading time. I am passionate about teaching all students to read and these books will help me do that!
