Every time I speak to representatives from local industry, both union and non-union, I keep hearing the same thing. "We need more applicants that can already read a tape measure". No matter what industry you go into, reading a tape is paramount to completing a job accurately. With this project, every student will have an industry standard tape measure to learn with. My goal is to supply my students with the skills and knowledge that may help to give them an edge in competing for work after high school. Even students that are not planning on going into industry will benefit from this project. Knowing how to read a tape measure will make projects around the house more accurate and be completed with greater ease.

About my class
