Help me give my students hand puppets to animate songs, stories, and dramatic play. I chose items from a variety of areas such as occupations, dinosaurs, fantasy and alphabet puppets. This will enable my students to reproduce stories that have been read to them and will allow them to learn through play! Learning through play makes my students more successful in the classroom. Since learning can be difficult for my students, learning through play is the best way to make learning positive and successful with my students. Many of my students have speech and language difficulties making traditional academics difficult for them. Using puppets gives my students the chance to show their knowledge through the use of nonverbal means and through play based activities.
