For years, our special education students have been struggling with technology. They don't have access to the proper technology in their Resource classroom, which is preventing them from properly accessing the curriculum. So much of what their homework and studies require of them, depends on the technology they have. Students are expected to use google docs for all writing and slide show assignments. They are also required to use a math program called ALEKS, which helps them study for Algebra. With the help of adequate technology (new chrome books) our students will be able to study for tests and complete homework assignments in a timely manner. They will be more successful within core curriculum classes and go on to achieve their IEP goals.
