Everyday students come into the music room ready to learn, ready to create, perform, and analyze music. I stress to them the importance of working "as an ensemble" in music class to do their best work, and help one another succeed. The trouble in our music classroom is that we are lacking instruments. Currently, I am borrowing a few small instruments from a neighboring school, but this is a 'band-aid', not a permanent solution. The expressions on their faces when they saw me bringing in the few instruments I was able to borrow were priceless. These are wonderful students who are more than deserving of an authentic, exciting musical education.

About my class
