Music and movement activities use a multi-sensory approach to develop and improve memory, cognitive development, learning skills, expressive ability, balance and coordination. Students also learn new words and concepts. Music and movement provides my students with the opportunity to enhance their social skills, practice taking turns and cooperation. My students enjoy and react positively to music. We say our ABC's, but when we move and groove to the ABC Rock or the Colors song my students burst with excitement! We listen to music that represents all the children in our classroom community. It my goal to continue to make learning fun and give my students the opportunity to explore more culturally diverse music and movement songs and activities.
