My students need TI-84 calculators to succeed in the AP Exam. The use of the TI-84 graphing calculators is daily in my classroom. Using a graphing calculator is essential and embedded as part of the AP curriculum since students in AP Statistics and AP Calculus need the TI-84 calculator to help them compute problems quickly and effectively to complete the exam in 3 hours. So far the students have succeeded in class by using an online alternative but the AP exam does not allow the use of computer emulators during the exam. Due to this reason students need a physical calculator with them in class. With the class set of calculators students will be able to pass the AP Math Exam in May with confidence and with ample time to review their work to make sure they receive a passing score of a 3 or above!
