Technological innovations are redefining our society, and elementary is a vital grade to start demonstrating the power of integrating technology into the learning process. Coding has been targeted at national level by incorporating the Hour of Code. My students thrived completing online tasks, but wanted to immerse themselves in applying what they learned in hands on activities...but lacked the resources to do so. Ozobots allow students to learn how much coding impacts many areas of their daily lives. They are able to work collaboratively to draw/create codes that will result in the movements of the robot. It begins basic, and then becomes more complex, while allowing the students to navigate their own learning process along the way. The Android Tablets will be used for Blockly/Coding with blocks on numerous apps.
