This year I desire to create a classroom that emphasizes a student's choice in where to sit in the classroom. Having a variety of seating options, such as balance ball chairs, allows students to choose what is comfortable and just right for them. Whether laying on the floor with clip boards, a balance seat, or wobble chair, these seating options will promote healthy movement, physical fitness and academic growth. Students can develop core strength and balance while increasing academic areas. Research has shown that kids need to move. There is a strong correlation between movement and learning. These amazing little people deserve every advantage that we can provide to assist them in their quest for knowledge, physical health and a fun learning environment. I strongly believe that this project will empower them to become productive members of our learning community. Your generosity will help increase student achievement, physical fitness, and create healthy students.
