Currently we have chromebooks in our classroom, but we do not have enough to accomodate the tech intensive needs of all of our students. By adding 7 additional chromebooks, we would be able to go 1:1 in our 4th grade and we would be able to better utilize the technology we have in the class. By being able to provide the technology in class to all students, everyone gets the same opportunity to succeed in today's technologically rich society. Students are learning, growing, and being challenged daily academically and by using more technology in the class we can do it in multiple ways. If my classroom is fortunate enough to be a 1:1 classroom, my students will be able to better collaborate on projects through google products like google docs, slides, forms and more. In addition, they will be able to use this technology for a more personalized learning experience through sites like seesaw where students can document their learning in an online portfolio.
