I plan to use interactive notebooks for my Sociology classes. For this project, each student will need two spiral notebooks and the class will need a supply of scissors and markers. It's a spiral-bound notebook set up as a simple, functional system for students to create, write, and explore ideas all in the same place. No special hardware is required. Students take more ownership of the learning because much of the content is something they create. The notebooks help with organization and allow both the teacher and the student to track progress throughout the course. Sociology is incredibly interesting and relevant subject. I believe the interactive notebooks will help students engage with the material.
