We already have a few iPads in our classroom, but not enough for all to learn at the same time. This year some of my goals are to improve communication between students as well as their families. I am requesting 9 iPads for our classroom. I am going to pilot the app, See Saw, a digital portfolio program where students can share photos of their learning, record videos of themselves reading or experiencing other learning opportunities, which they can then upload and share with me. I can then approve their choices and their work gets sent directly to their families. Parents can actually see what their children are learning before they ever come home from school! This will not only help to improve the communication between us all, but it will give them the experience on how to use the iPads, as this is one way learning will happen in their future.
