I am asking for a set of Favorite Picture Book Read-Alongs, a set of Kevin Henkes Read-Alongs, and a set of Classroom Classics Read-Alongs. These read-along books will help increase independent reading fluency. Not only should students be able to read common words, they also should do so in a timely fashion. When students listen to others read they understand the importance of reading like we speak. I constantly remind my students that we read the same way we speak, smooth and flowing. These read aloud books would be used in literacy stations each day. My students will listen while following along in the book at the same time. I know my students would love using technology to help enhance their reading abilities throughout their time in second grade. Please consider assisting my students in becoming College and Career Ready.
