With a subscription to the digital engagement platform Nearpod, my students will have the opportunity to interact with me as the teacher, with each other and with the content they are learning. They can share their thinking about videos, create models to show how they approach problems, investigate web resources, take virtual field trips, participate in polls and so much more. "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn" - Benjamin Franklin. Student engagement has been scientifically shown to improve learning and retention for students. With virtual learning happening more and more, this project will enable me to keep my students engaged even when we can't be connected in person.
