My students are a group of 34 who tested into the gifted art program at our school. They are amazing, bright, talented, happy and enthusiastic children with a great love of artand no funding for their program. Art is meant to be shared with the world. The educational standards we strive for include presenting the exquisite work of the kids to the public. Doing this puts these young artists into exhibit mode, where they learn about careers in art, and experience the joy of their work being admired by many people. The iPads we hope for will enable the kids to post their work and artist statements on sites like Artsonia. They will learn the value of promoting their work, and in writing and posting their statements they will cultivate their own personal connection to art. And, iPads have countless creative art apps to lead us to new art horizons! Please support our program so these kids can shine online!
