“For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned”- Benjamin Franklin. I want to “earn hours” for my students to teach them simply to be good people all year long. To that end, it is imperative that we teach them responsibility, self-confidence, organizational skills, and the value of kindness. For this project I am focusing on organization skills. These storage carts would allow my students to gain independence and organizational skills while providing a more safe and healthy environment. COVID protocols have made it challenging to share materials where the supplies are minimal in our Title I school. If the students had their own storage drawers at their table to keep their materials separate, it would help meet our district-wide COVID guidelines.
