My students are from a rural district in Oregon. We have a high percentage of free/reduced lunch. Students in my school attend an arts and humanities themed academy, which focuses on student learning through projects and performances. These students have high verbal skills and are very artistic in a variety of forms, including writing and performing. Students also create and present amazing pieces of art at the school and in the local community, including a large mosaic compass in town and multiple murals throughout the school and community.
