My students with disabilities have visual processing deficits that require their printed material be in color. Our students are expected to meet the same grade level standards whether they have a disability or not. Texts, stories, and passages must be printed in color in order for them to gather details for assignments in all academic areas. Standards and rubrics for assignments also need to be clear using color ink. These are posted throughout the classroom as a means to know exactly what is expected of them for each assignment and overall unit. Without the use of color copies students are unable to track the information they need in order to be successful. Therefore having color toner for my classroom printer is vital.
