The use of headphones is a weekly activity in my classroom. Using a Differentiated Assessment Plan model in science, students go to the computer lab for independent practice on non-mastered standards or to enrich their learning. Students will perform tasks such as watching a short video or a Ted Talk as a part of their individual plan. What becomes a problem is the fact that there are no headphones in the labs, and many students have earbuds that are not compatible. Students know they can borrow a pair, but it is first come first serve as there are just not enough to go around. By having a class set of headphones, each student will be able to borrow a pair to complete their task. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student performance, but you will also​ ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on their tasks and not whether they will be able to hear the videos without distractions.
