STEM projects create motivated students and an active learning environment. These projects combine Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics together and the students will benefit as they are pushed to new boundaries. The STEM kits I've selected will naturally have students engaged in questioning, collaboration, and hands-on activities. Students will also experience being engineers and scientists as they work together in groups to problem solve and find solutions. Students will grow throughout the year and make connections with these kits and real life situations. Studies have shown that STEM projects should start in early elementary grades because this is when students start forming their interest in STEM identities and careers.
