My class will be participating in the Global Read Aloud Project this year. I am hoping to do it every year after. One way to participate in the project is to connect with other schools around the country/world to share ideas and discuss the books we are reading. Almost like an interactive book club. My class will use the webcam weekly during the project. I believe it is very important to connect with other classrooms across the globe to promote awareness and acceptance of differences. The webcam will allow my class this opportunity. Many of my students may never get the opportunity to meet people from other parts of the world.
