I will use the material to help my students create a mixed media project that helps them not only produce a piece but stay organized and make good use of their studio time. It is very important that I teach them time management as well as art making because I only see my students once a week. This project will allow me to teach my students how to draw and plan out ideas on paper before actually putting the pieces together, doing this will allow them to problem solve before the start producing. My students will be planning out their project, weaving a basket into various shapes. They will then add a sculpted arrangement of either flowers, fruits or vegetables after they have learned how each is grown. This project is co-curricular in the area of art and science.
