I am trying to raise money to buy resources to help students feel more comfortable in the classroom, both mentally and physically. Not only will the money I raise help with their focus but it will also help support better reading habits and behavior. Transitional seating is a way to help students with special needs, wigglers and even independent workers, to focus on their learning without being distracted by their own bodies, restlessness and even nervous tics. It has been researched that students that are second language learners or students with special needs are often distracted in classrooms. Transitional seating allows students, especially those with special needs, who face so many challenges both mental and physically find peace comfortably, so their brain has one less distraction and their bodies can "relax!" I've seen so many students become even more distracted or even distracting because their bodies are under attack due to being uncomfortable. Help me take one more disadvantage off of their plate!
