Physical education is extremely important and is great way to get children involved in a sport as well as to introduce them to activities they may not try. Playing sports gets kids out in the fresh air, gets then active, teaches sportsmanship, and encourages a focus on health and fitness. Due to the amount of technology that kids have these days, more and more children are becoming less active;therefore, it is important that my students are active. I am asking for an equipment cart, twenty-four jump ropes, three sets of pop up soccer goals, three sets of hockey goals, twelve scoop balls, three soccer balls, and other PE equipment for my students. This project will significantly help foster health, fitness, and sportsmanship. Physical education also helps students develop motor skills and teaches self discipline. My first grade students want to be active and have thought of ways to do this and have fun at the same time.
