Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our DonorsChoose request. One of our school goals is to establish a culture of respect and acceptance throughout our students, faculty and staff. One way to achieve and maintain this goal is by reading and discussing books about human rights, diversity and multicultural topics during our DEAR time. Reading a book together brings the added joy of building and expanding a sense of community among students, parents, teachers, and staff and beyond. This type of literature has the ability to nurture respect, empathy and acceptance among all students. These stories that highlight diversity, fairness, and empathy can even change people's minds about tough issues that students are faced with in our world today. Thank you again!
