As first responders students will be trained to act when someone is ill or injured. Students will be taught to assess patients and stabilize them when necessary. We will practice skills such as vital signs (Pulse, respiration, and blood pressure), wound bandaging, splinting extremities, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and immobilization of victims. These supplies will help us immensely so that students will be well trained in practicing these skills in or lab before having to use them in our community. My students enjoy the hands on learning and or eager to practice in the lab setting making them better prepared Emergency Medical Responders.
