Students who come to my office and need to be sent home sometimes have a prolonged period of waiting. These students will be able to play games on the Acer to make their wait seem to go faster. Most importantly this will we used by students with special needs. Many times autistic students have a hard time communication. AutismXpress is an app students will use to expression emotions and physical feelings. Sound Board Language is an app that my students with Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder will use to communicate. This app will also be used by a non verbal student I see three times a day to help her communicate what she needs from me and her aide. My special needs students will use the app, Dropophone, to help calm their body and mind. This tablet will be used to manage a program that will be utilized by my students and their parents to manage health needs. This app will allow students and parents to know what symptoms are going around our school and what other students have been diagnosed with. This will give parents a better idea of what sickness may be affecting their child. I also need an Acer for my office because it will give me access to student's medical charts when I am in other parts of the campus. I will be able to contact parents through apps such as Text Plus and won't have to return to my office first. I will also be able to download medical apps to help figure out issues with my kids.
