When children see a great book they want to read it, but what happens when they aren't able to read the book on their own? We give them the resources to read along! Now every student, regardless of their reading ability, will be able to read interesting non-fiction stories without waiting for help from an adult. These materials will help my students to access good non-fiction literature during our reading center time so they are able to start putting their newly learned comprehension skills to good use. My students have been using listening centers for many years and it is one of the favorite centers every week. They listen along with a story, then complete some questions about the story they heard. My stories, headphones and CD/tape player are all old and broken. We are using them the best we can but are in desperate need of newer read-alongs, headphones and player that aren't breaking down on a daily basis that keeps interrupting the learning process.
